A solitary figure stands at the center of a turbulent field of color and light, its form both emerging from and dissolving into the surrounding atmosphere. The figure appears as a dark silhouette against luminous currents, suggesting a presence that is both there and not there - a space where identity, memory, and energy seem to shift between form and absence.

This painting began as a meditation on a difficult question: what becomes of the human soul when a life ends in despair? Inspired by the loss of a close friend, Soul reflects the quiet gravity of grief and the mystery surrounding consciousness, presence, and the spaces left behind. Rather than offering an answer, the work holds the question open - allowing viewers to contemplate the fragile boundary between being and becoming.
